Wow. Yesterday the front page photo in our local paper was highlights from the annual kid's earthworm races behind the library.
I noticed David W. a few times in your book jenga. Have you read "Mystery Train?" I *heart* his rock n roll sonnets.
Earthworm races? Oy....How do they get jockeys? pa dum ching! You've got to love the sheer oddness of small town newspapers sometimes.
I love "Mystery Train." It's one of the few books of po'try I give as a gift. I admire his use of form to serve the poem and not the other way round.
